Israel Bond purchases are not centrally reported, so a blank state does not mean a clean state. It means nobody has asked. One email to the treasurer's office changes that, and we give you the script.

Ask the Arizona State Treasurer's Office for the records

Israel Bond purchases are not centrally reported, and this office has no public disclosure we can find. The only way to know is to ask. It takes one email, and the law is on your side.

To: PublicRecords@aztreasury.gov
Subject: Public records request: Israel Bonds holdings

To the records officer of the Arizona State Treasurer's Office:

Under Arizona's Public Records Law, I request all records of purchases, holdings, sales, and maturities of bonds issued by the Development Corporation for Israel (Israel Bonds) or by the State of Israel, held by the Arizona State Treasurer's Office, including amounts, purchase dates, coupon rates, and maturity dates, from January 1, 2015 to the present.

I am a resident of Arizona. Please acknowledge receipt of this request and respond within the time required by law. If any portion is withheld, please cite the specific legal exemption and release all non-exempt material.

Thank you,

I am calling to ask whether the Arizona State Treasurer's Office currently holds, or has ever purchased, Israel Bonds issued by the Development Corporation for Israel, and in what amounts.
