Ask Florida Dept. of Financial Services for the records

Israel Bond purchases are not centrally reported, and this office has no public disclosure we can find. The only way to know is to ask. It takes one email, and the law is on your side.

To: PublicRecordsRequest@myfloridacfo.com
Subject: Public records request: Israel Bonds holdings

To the records officer of Florida Dept. of Financial Services:

Under Florida's Public Records Law (Chapter 119), I request all records of purchases, holdings, sales, and maturities of bonds issued by the Development Corporation for Israel (Israel Bonds) or by the State of Israel, held by Florida Dept. of Financial Services, including amounts, purchase dates, coupon rates, and maturity dates, from January 1, 2015 to the present.

I am a resident of Florida. Please acknowledge receipt of this request and respond within the time required by law. If any portion is withheld, please cite the specific legal exemption and release all non-exempt material.

Thank you,

Tell Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller: no new Israel Bonds

This office is tracked as a current or suspected holder. Bond maturities are decision points, and sustained public pressure is exactly how Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Maryland won.

To: PublicRecordsRequest@myfloridacfo.com
Subject: Do not reinvest maturing Israel Bonds

Dear Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller:

I am a Florida resident writing about public funds invested in Israel Bonds (Development Corporation for Israel). These bonds are unrestricted loans to the Israeli government during its war on Gaza, and all three major credit rating agencies have downgraded Israel's debt since October 2023.

As these bonds mature, I urge Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller not to reinvest in Israel Bonds, and to publish a full public accounting of past and current holdings.

Thank you,
